DETAILS:
The common base phase mistake is going too hard too soon. The unfortunate result of such a poorly planned base phase is the inability to build on your previous year’s training and racing and or peak for your planned races.
A properly designed base phase is key for being able to go hard and fast later in the season. Striking the balance between low intensity work load, recovery and providing enough training stress to prime for upcoming intensity is thus the ultimate goal. In addition, the base phase is the best time for you to add and consolidate a variety of athletic assets (training, nutrition/fueling, mental skills) that facilitate you in reaching your potential this season. All while staying healthy.
This plan offers you:
– Dedicated swim, bike, run and strength sessions
– Mental skills and toughness training
– Information on how to nudge your nutrition
– Assist your immune system
– Explanations & objectives of your workouts.
